Hope Community is a registered charity based on the Heath Town Estate in Wolverhampton. Hope Community began in 1985 when The Infant Jesus Sisters moved into two maisonettes on the estate and started visiting people in their homes. Gradually by building relationships with local residents, they identified the needs of children and their families living there. They assisted families with parenting skills and provided basic literacy classes from their own maisonettes.

In 1994 a partnership was formed between the Sisters and Father Hudson’s Society to provide administration and support for the project. In 1999 Hope Family Centre opened following a successful application to Henry Smith, in units which were formerly shops. The grant paid for refurbishment of the whole building, and employment of a manager and 3 part time workers for Hope. The work begun by The Infant Jesus Sisters continues through the dedication of staff, volunteers and trustees.
